PLease take mine and add your own to it, and send your addition back so I can add it in.
Mine is:
1. Use those little pogs of wax that are left in the holders to start your fires in the fireplace. Save all your wax pieces for this type of use, it makes starting a fire soo easy and fast.

From my sister Debbie, pretty funny
Try this! Cool Illusion
The Washington Post's Mensa Invitational once again asked readers to take
any word from the dictionary, alter it by adding, subtracting, or changing
of one letter, and supply a new definition.
Here are this year's (2005) winners:
1. Cashtration (n.):
The act of buying a house, which renders the subject
financially impotent for an indefinite period.
2. Ignoranus:
A person who's both stupid and an asshole.

Euphoria at getting a tax refund, which lasts until you
realize it was your money to start with.
4. Reintarnation:
Coming back to life as a hillbilly.
5. Bozone (n.):
The substance surrounding stupid people that stops bright
ideas from penetrating. The bozone layer, unfortunately, shows little sign
of breaking down in the near future.
6. Foreploy:
Any misrepresentation about yourself for the purpose of
getting laid.
7. Giraffiti:
Vandalism spray-painted very, very high.
8. Sarchasm:
The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person
who doesn't get it.
9. Inoculatte:
To take coffee intravenously when you are running late.
10. Hipatitis:
Terminal coolness.
11. Osteopornosis:
A degenerate disease. (This one got extra credit.)
12. Karmageddon:
It's like, when everybody is sending off all these really
bad vibes, right? And then, like, the Earth explodes and it's
like, a serious bummer.
13. Decafalon (n.):
The grueling event of getting through the day consuming
only things that are good for you.
14. Glibido:
All talk and no action.
15 Dopeler effect:
The tendency of stupid ideas to seem smarter when they
come at you rapidly.
16. Arachnoleptic fit (n.):
The frantic dance performed just after you've
accidentally walked through a spider web.

Satan in the form of a mosquito, that gets into your
bedroom at three in the morning and cannot be cast out.

The color you turn after finding half a worm in the fruit you're eating.

If I have time by myself:
I blog, or pot, or plant, plod, walk, read, tidy up, lift a weight.
I scrape moss off the sidewalk, hug my cat.
You wouldn’t know it but I’m very good at:
Doing nothing. (today, this is an accomplishment)
I like to clean. My daughter, Daphne, used to say I polished the brass dorrknobs after anyone touched them, well now, we didn't have brass doorknobs, did we? Anyway, that was then, this is now, and I am much more comfy with messes.
I am a good seamstress.
You may not know it but I am very bad at:
Shopping.. I like having everything delivered, not that I do, however I used to have 2 food trucks deliver food to my home when I was married. I was teased by neighbors and relatives who said I was having an affair with the Schwan Man because he'd come calling late at night to catch me. A few times when out of town staying at a motel a Schwan truck showed up, and my relatives exclaimed that they had followed me out of town.
I lived in a town for a long time that had no good stores, so I mail ordered all my clothes, but only from companies that would pay return shipping. It was wonderful! I got nice boxes of nice clothes, tried them on at home, sent them back, ordered more... no extra cost.
A book (s) that changed me:
Cloud Hidden, Wherabouts Unknown.
Leaves Of Grass.
Writings of Emerson
The Art of Love by eric Fromm
Movie heaven:
Foreign..mostly.. The Scent of Green papayas ( Vietnamese) A quietly beautiful movie.
Comfort eating:
Mashed potatoes and gravy
Chocolate pie (my recipe in sidebar is the best chocolate pie in the world)
Cherry pies made with good sour cherries.
Banana Cream Pie,
Filled noodles (a family recipe)
My biggest regret:
Not sure I have one!
I wish I’d never worn:
I have no such wish…well, there was that awful embroidered dress my Mother and Step Father picked out for me.!
When I was a child I wanted to be:
A Ballerina, but I was forced to take 2 years of tap, and was told I had to take more tap before I could take ballet. So I quit dance. In my 30's I took 20 hours a week of ballet!
All my money goes on:
Necessities, ( includes sending my kids stuff, that to me is a nesessity).... and lattes.
My favorite building(s):
One I design myself of clay and can imagine going into.
Places in my dreams that are very Dionynesian.
Primitive dwellings
My favorite work (s) of art:
Michelangelo’s David
The Nike of Samothrace
Edward Hopper, Rooms by the Sea
Egon Schiele, portrait of self and wife.
Soundtrack to my life:
The Artist; Cat Stevens
The best inventions ever:
Skates, sleds, bikes, skiis
The Internet
Macintosh computer
Aspirin
My favorite quote is:
There came a time when the risk to remain tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.
My credo
Have the courage of a child. But never expect as much of them as you do of yourself.
My addition:
If you won the lottery, where would you buy a home? What else would you do?
I would buy a place in Branson Mo cause my kids live there, it would be on Lake Taney Como near town.
Maybe one here where Ilive now, or close to it.
I would build a community for homeless people where they could have a community kitchen, garden, etc, and their own living quarters. A place to collaborate....and live.
I would also build hostels in places where there are none, and start food banks everywhere they don't have them.

Awful Souls Blog!
Awful souls Blog is great, I admite I borrowed a few of her entertainment links and added them to my sidebar under entertainment.... (and listed below). She has more..go see! Nice writing too!
New entertainment
Death
Tremble still with hearts secret,
A whisper mostly within, remembering.
Sweet hearts hushed. Death.
Tonight, whose mystery knows time, weightless.
Black scents, so delicate, which seldom kiss.
Strain tight memory; life, love, gift.
Seems touch that measured love soft.
Bird winging his frail rhyming song may be that sound,
Her golden feeling pleasure.
Eyes shut and tender written lines,
I share writing our bold truth.
Mine was every delight,
Ours, the sonnet bright.

The ritual of the lights
This time of year when the time changes always brings on feelings that are dark and foreboding. Here where I live it gets dark now at 4 :45 or close to it.
My ritual of candle lighting begun winter when I first moved here with Daisy, if not already in full swing, begins suddenly to be most important.
I have all my Catholic candles in the hallway together much like they are in the churches, and I consider them votives to stand watch over my concerns when I am unable to do so because I am preoccupied with other duties. I have about 20 of them there in the hallway, and they are bright and warm, taking the chill of the air.
In the front window of the foyer I have 3 candles glowing and they shine out onto the dark world through architectural glass bricks.
In the living room there are a host of other candles, and the dining room has at least one, and three oil lamps are also lit.
We usually go round nights together lighting them, and instantly feel the chill go out of the air.
When it comes time to go to bed, I lean over each candle in complete privacy, and say a prayer for whomever comes to my mind; children, victims of disasters, prisoners, the poor, the hungry, the destitute, the misunderstood, the lonely, the hungry, those who have it all, those who are lost, friends, family, acquaintances.
YouÂ…are probably being prayed for, the love goes out, and surely it reaches you!
Hardly worth mentioning...But
This, "was, " my wedding anniversary date. I was married, well, way too many years to mention here, and when I add up how long I would have been married had I stayed married, well, that is .....
Life is certainly strange, I cannot separate myself from those years, and those people I was related to at that time, even though they have not been in my life since I left, really. Such a part of who I am, and yet it seems so empty, and hollow, a place inside me where there is no access to those folks anymore, just as there is no access to my own family of origin that have passed on anymore.
Both leave a different kind of hollow feeling inside.
I wonder how many other people have these feelings stirring inside?

Pumpkin Patch
Here we are at the pun kin patch again this year. I see grown kids only today. Usually these fields are packed with families and excited kids, but it is a weekday and school is not out yet.
Tonight is Halloween.
My new kitty has already been trained for tonight, to sit in the front window so kids can see him there, a black cat, looking out on the night. ( Oh he wishes he were outside, but we can't let him out yet).
He is a funny cat., very smart, talks to us and tells us he wants food, out, water, curtain opened, etc.
I brush him a few times a day, and clean him with cat wipes. He is a handsome, devil! Still no name for him yet, Hmm?
We carved punkins by the fireplace and set them out and the kids came and one scared me when I opened the door. We had a lot of fun tonight, I baked chocolate pies for us to eat, and we had a fire and waited for the kids to come.
My cat is still sitting in the window waiting for more kids to entertain him. What a precious!

Skating on a fall day,,,and Bebbie
Audioblogg on trail skating....... I am on the trail in Snohomish. It is beautiful as I skate through light flashing through the leaves, and leaves falling on the trail in front of me. The wind is invigorating, cool, very pleasant. Nothing else seems to exist at least momentarily, and I am happy for a break in time!
Today I am thinking about my Kentucky friend who calls me sherrycoddle and I call her Bebbie, ( about Bebbie
idosyncratic Deb ) because we have decided to be sisters, and I have never had one, so it is so sweet to have sweet names for each other and feel I do have a sister. It is really fun for me, and I don't feel as lonely for a sibling anymore!
So Bebbie, hi! Take care, have a fun halloween..hope you go to a costume party, I wish I were , but I'm not, soo.. you have fun for me, and I will hand candy out to goblins at my door!
I take my kitty to the vet in a few hours, his nose is all stopped up and he feels terrible. Wow, I never had a sick cat before! He must have been sick at the shelter! Poor thing.
I will keep you posted.
