Austin July 07
I arrived in Austin after about 4 days ago. It's like a sauna here. They've had rain, so much rain, that combined with heat has produced a natural sauna; not muggy, not humid, but a sauna..
Today it was a bit better, just hot, and the sun wasn't out so much, but no more rain so far. So it is beginning to feel more like Austin from years past.
I lead such an exciting life..trying to help my daughter stay abreast of the laundry, washing dishes, surfaces, cleaning bathrooms..
I am a vacation maid for hire and I work for free..
I suppose I should rent a car, but I have to rent one in Mo, my next stop..and that trip will be a very uncertain proposition.
Maybe I should join my friend in India, or go to Sicily to visit Avasa, and Shakti, or France to see My cousin, Jerry, or S Africa to see Tracey, or Alaska to join Raven making pots.. Hmm, I could live a more exciting life!!
well stay tuned for chapter whatever....

Thar She Blows!
The Gray (whales) are chowing down in Washington waters en route to Alaska.
It happens every year. So.. I went whale watching. .
Well it was farily uneventful, but I'll share my photos nonetheless.
A 4 hour tour finally yielded a small whale off Camano Island in shallows there.
He wouldn't come up, but I got this shot of him blowing.
I would have had a better look from land. I plan to drive out to see if any are at Kayak Point later this week. Oh if only a had a real kayak, I'd go visit them up close..
and....here I am sh sh shivering... on board the whale boat..
Oh BTW speaking of Whales, let me add here that Moby DIck has a new literary review, and it appears it is not an illusive book afterall.
Of course, it was never a story about a man chasing a whale, but is a book that talks about truth, but until Jed McKenna read this book, well, no one knew what it was about.
Jed McKenna talks about his discovery of Melville concerning TRUTH in Moby Dick. See Jed McKenna books to find links to his work.
