Awhile ago I was up in LaConner, and stayed at a hotel across the street from the local bakery. When I got up , and looked out my window, I saw these turkey's waiting for the bakey to open....no camera, just a camera phone, but it saved the day..

Comforts
A full frig...one of the comforts of home. I took this with my phone.
I was at Whole Foods in Seattle Sunday, and remembering Whole Foods in Austin in the 70's. A small, cheap rent, store that sold organic vegetables and bulk foods, honey, birkenstocks, and hippie stuff..now it is an amazing Corporation, and pricey, beautiful store, full of variety, and products, so much, I left without buying a thing, couldn't decide what to buy.

It's beginning to look a lot like spring!
Ok, I admit, my peonies aren't up yet.
I just thought you needed a peek of spring..
These are for Louie, my best friend in Ohio where they just had a nasty blizzard.
But crocus and daffs are up, and some ground covers are blooming, and trees are blooming too.
I'll post pictures, but feast on these from last summer awhile.
I found this company that sells garden groupings, like hardy ferns, or shade loving plants ( hosta, astibles, etc.) You buy a package of plants and get the plans for where to plant for a well designed garden. I think it's a pretty good idea.
Check it out.

Bamboo
I'm looking for bamboo, large bamboo that grows fast where I live. A neighbor subdivided their property, and now I have a hole in my back yard form the willow tree that was taken down that provided privacy. A new large home is going up, and it is very intrusive as all these large new homes are. I'm looking at Moso bamboo, it could possibly grow to 70 feet, and have canes of up to 8" in diameter.
So right now I'm remodeling the bathroom, and searching for bamboo that I can plant to provide a buffer between and me.
It feels naked here..
Here is a picture of Moso..
and another, nice huh? I have to plant a steel barrier to keep it from taking over the city tho.

The Stress Eraser
Sharper Image ( link below) has the stress eraser, and their policy for return is pretty good.
I just bought one and it is retraining me to breathe, and I feel much less stressed, amazing.
click this link...
the stress eraser
They have a 60 day return policy..click on pic below of tape archiver.
A small bio feed back machine that will fit in your purse; backpack, etc, coat pocket.
Use it at bedtime and a few short times a day, also if angry or just uptight..
I knew I was breathing shallow, but wow, I had completely forgotten how to breathe..
It's your own personal guru..I had been holding my breath for years after some very stressful events over 20 years ago.
I've used it for about 2.5 weeks now. I would send it back if it didn't work because it costs 300.00..BUT it's probably the best 300.00 I have ever spent.
Here is what they say:

Methow Valley Revisited

Snow in the Mountains not far from home
Some more photos of snow up in the snow country of Washington.
Umm, wish I were going again to stay awhile, if only I had a small place up there, it would be a nice wintry get away.. Icy Creek...along the road to Winthrop a river flows, and at this time it was freezing over, and had ice floats building up.
Was beautiful, but I had no places to park along side the road to photograph it.
But this is similar taken in Winthrop by the river. When I'm up there, even tho it is isolated from any places I'd like to go to, I am drawn back to the snowy landscape, reminds me of my wintry roots in PA. Icicles hang from houses, reminding me of the swords we broke off to fight with as children, altho these are small in comparison.
Horses in the snow in Winthrop , the Methow Valley. It is about a 4 hour drive from my home. The snow, of course can be accessed only a bit over an hour away, but I like coming here to Winthrop and snowshoeing in fresh snow, seeing bunny tracks and deer hoof prints early in a morning. Very cold temps now, but spring offers snow as well, and much warmer, not that I mid the snow. Just last stay was at a place in Winthrop I had stayed at before, but this last time I was given a basement room at a B&B. It was very unpleasant, I had no idea it was a basement, was told it was a 'downstairs ' room, which I had stayed in a downstairs room before, and it wasn't a basement. It wasn't very cheery being in a room in a basement, no window to see snow, and a 10" tv. (for 95.00 a night)
But the ceiling was painted like clouds...( not good enough) lol
Deer migrating to some place to bed down I suppose, for the night.
air filters, which are the best?
Just waiting for a new heating system with air filtration system to be installed in this house. When I turned on the big monster heater this year, immediately I had trouble breathing, and coughing. It persists.
Obviously this has been a problem ongoing, but I hadn't put it together. The cough is awful, and I can only assume the heater blew dust mites out of the vents all over the house. 19,000 dust mites per 1 inch of dust I believe.. hmmm...
So I'm shopping around for the best air filters.
If you have any ideas, let me know. For now I'm looking at these units from this company. I see they have some units on sale.
I've bought small portable air filters that plug into the wall directly, this is a good company I think. So I guess I'll look around these stores for a filter at least for my room so I can sleep at night and see if it makes a difference.

mac book air?
I gave them my idea for the illuminated keyboard.
Now I almost wish I had waited for this version, but it starts at about 1799.00.
.Worth every penny I'm sure.
The illuminated keyboard itself is worth a pretty price ( to me).
How many years ago did I begin bugging them about illuminated keyboards? And every store I went into.
Too bad I'm inventive but don't know how to put these deals together.
Oh well, maybe in my next life I'll pair up with a business genius.
Until then, I'm just a receiver ( another) for the great ideas floating around the universe)
One among many...
Isn't this cool tho? Looks maybe 1/4 inch thick?
