I'm a hiker, backpacker, what can I say? I see places on earth most people never see!
I share these on my blogs, and tell stories of my experiences.
Nature is so beautiful, culture is magnificient. Lets support earth!
I took this Near The Convergence of Dungeness Creek and Royal Basin. (Olympic Peninsula) beautiful pool!
This is one of my favorite places on earth.A long drive, but the hike in to this pool is only a mile. You can, however hike to Royal Basin from there, a long hike.
I was hiking once with my hiking partner, and he took off to see what was ahead ( be back in 5 he said)
True to my nature, I immediately fell into a creek and got all wet ( he had backpack) and true to his nature, he wasn't back for at least '45'..lol
So I wrung out my clothes and hiked after him, for a long time, before I realized it was getting to be dusk, and I should hike back to the campsite,, yikes; lion, cougars, bears, oh dear!
My imagination accompanied me back to the campsite, but he did reach me just before I got there, with dry socks and shirt.
So for all the beauty I have been able to explore, I recommend:
The Sierra Club, and I highly recommend you join, or buy magazines, etc.
Support the peace you are! The planet you love.
Sierra Club, named the most effective environmental advocacy organization in the US, was created in 1892 by John Muir. It is the oldest and largest, grassroots environmental organization in the US with over 625,000 members nationwide.
