Always, go with your heart.....

I found a blog today asking if you go with your heart when you buy things for your home, or 'place'..
YES YES YES..
No Convention here!

The things I collect, don't know if anyone else does, but I collect seeds for example, from my garden. I can't let a good seed go to waste.. I also collect petals..glass, lamps, pottery, dishes, tablecloths, actually, I save certain things from extinction.. somebody's gotta do it..

And I have a collection of art, etc. gifts from friends, that makes me a whole lot what I am..
Treasures remind me of someone somewhere I couldn't have lived without.
This glassware is pressed glass from Finland, I had a store some time ago, and I carried this line.
It is beautifully delicate.

These peony petals are only from the center of my pink peony's.
The larger ones will be dry soon..
Here in the kitchen, on the wall are some Moroccan bowls, Beautiful works of art.
The rug is Persian Gabbeh
This bowl under my bistro is filled with tulip petals sprinkled with a few roses..

These glasses are sitting upon a cake plate that was my Grandma's. The glasses are also old, and beautiful, I couldn't resist the bargain of these treasures..

The screen is practically straight out of Casablanca!
Moroccan, of course.
It's really a lovely piece..
I have some kimonos, having spent time in Japan, of course I have kimonos, etc..
Here is a Mother's Day table with flowers and bargains bought that day when Dorothy came to visit. She loves thrift stores, so we had a great day, I think the damages for me was about 35.00. I got this Indian table cloth, and a vase, some glass bowls for petals, a few candle holders, and another Danish candle chime, this time a large one.

This Persian Rug is my newest old rug. It sports pots, candles, lamps, bowls, birds and deer, flowers...
and I'm a ceramic artist, potter, poet, gardener, etc.. I'm searching for the perfect large 'coffee' table to tone down the design that is, right now, all over the living room. It's pretty busy, but once I find the right table, it won't be.

It's huge!
A bargain at any price!

(love birds here, it has a total of 24 love birds on it)

Always go with your heart,
Oh, I collect beautiful goblets, too!

Trust yourself, trust that, and whether anyone likes your style or they don't, doesn't matter, not everyone may like you either.
It's hard work trying to be popular, and easy to see through the insecurity involved, usually if somoene doesn't like you, it's more about them than it is about you.
So I say trust your heart, be yourself, let your abode express yourself, and it's amazing how it all comes together, and how much you learn about yourself and life in the process.

I just hung three new Wiinblad's, and now I am going to paint the wall, and I think I am going to do a painting behind the art work. Visions are busy racing around my head...
LIke me, my adobe is a work in progress.. I enjoy the unfinished ever changing landscape, cause that's just me!

I'll post the 3 Wiinblad's later, btw, he is the Danish Picasso, and died 3 years ago.. Incredible talent..
