Mazama Washington, Freestone Inn

Just finished dinner here in the lodge at the Freestone where we are staying tonight. Dinner was a large steak with salad, and a bottle of moscato Di Asti, a lemon tart dessert with coffee for finishing a day of shopping in Winthrop for pottery, and art, and a nice jaunt snowshoeing at dusk into nightfall, being followed by a moon shadow..

The snow is very deep here in Mazama, not so in Winthrop. The day was beautiful, blue sky, bubbling rivers, ravens, deer, people skiing and snow shoeing.

A nice room awaits with a fire, and I am remembering my friends, family, acquaintances,a and wanted to let you all know I am thinking of you, getting inspired to make some special pottery for you, Kim.

Been reading the Spiral Staircase Pamela, enjoying it so much.
Bebbie, wish you were here and hoping you will come visit soon. You need a vacation!

Looking for birthday presents for Karen, and Daisy.

Tomorrow morning will snowshoe again, and or cross country, then prepare for a long drive back to our corner of the state that is so different from this western town with boardwalks, and country music, sunshine and deep snow. It is a reprieve from the rain. Fun place to visit, and wouldn't mind owning a large ranch here.

Well, be in touch when I get back, Lynn, hi, love ya, and will write soon. Yumiko, wish you were here!
