Blog shopping today

I decided to go "blog shopping" today, and first I found "whirlygurl," from New York.

Just what I needed, a refresher on The east coast life!

Ahh, like a breathe of fresh lilacs that knock me over with their aromatic scent, mingled in every breathe I take... "home land" in springtime. And.... I suddenly recall Whitman's poem, "When lilacs last in the dooryard bloomed." Sigh!

I have been reading Diane Ackerman's (recommended by my ex), Cultivating Delight. All in all, I seem to be suddenly wanting to steep my self in my east coast roots; nature there, and the quickened pace of life that special spot on the map emits. It's invigorating, life giving.
A day in the life of a whirlygurly

Whirlygurl linked to this museum, so I am going on tour with her today..she may as well get used to me tagging along.

"Obituary
"Addwaita passed away on Friday. He succumbed to liver failure. And that ofcourse made headlines and that is how I learnt about it. And why should that be?
Well to begin with, Addwaita was 255 years old. At firt, it sounds incredible, even awe inspiring to note that when he was born, Mozart, Beethoven, Napoleon weren't born, America was not "Independent", England had not yet become the mighty empire it subsequently became." Interesting read....
