Yumiko

Today I received an e-mail unexpectedly from my old house mate, Yumiko, who lives In Japan. I am thrilled that we have reconnected! She is adorable; bright, happy, smiling Yumiko. Such a fun person, adventurous. She does the hula now a lot, and goes to Hawaii. I really miss her. Soo many memories. We had towel fights a lot at the farm, remember Yumiko? Everyone had a good time. So much laughter. Her blog, "Korisu no Sampo Michi" meaning."'The walking way of a little squirrel'" can be found at:
Korisu no Sampo Michi コリスの散歩道。

Yumiko was about 19 when she lived here in Washington at the farm in Snohomish. I remember one night coming home late from a play, and Yumiko lying on the kitchen floor, face down in a text book. The fire was going. She had had plans to go out, but was determined to build a fire, which she finally did, and then fell fast asleep in her sleeping bag there by the fire.

We had many great times together, we worked on her college papers together, I loved every minute of it. It was one of my favorite things working with her on her college papers. We would stay up sometimes all night talking about things, getting the ideas in place, typing, making all the changes. I had a computer then, and she didn't. Finally she got into studying graphics and then she got her Mac. (Always reminds me of when I was in college, and Kim and I worked on MY papers!)
Those were the Days my Friends!
