I drove by my Grandparents house ..and my old store. Lunch with my old friend Jerilyn and did get to see Joyce too.

My Grandparents house the porch was screened in back then , I added upstairs windows in case we built the upstairs and I thought it was a larger window on the front but. 

Then visited my old store on East Concho downtown and my elementary friend Joyce’s store next to mine which is part of a restaurant now and today I met my friend Jerrilyn at the restaurant for lunch and  we had a very nice long visit. 

I could kick myself that I didn’t take our photo but I never remember to do that. I think we talked about everything. 

And I didn’t want to say goodbye. I’d seen her last in 2023 maybe it was, same place. 

That was maybe 2022 when I had my museum show there at SAMFA. 

Then after much I went inside J Wilde’s and she wasn’t there. They closed in 5 minutes.  But lo and behold Joyce walked in!!

And we talked about everything related to being kids in 5 th grade to all her findings at her amazing store which was there when I was there but she was across the street. 

Now we’d have been side by side neighbors. 

I took photos really fast to revisit later. 

It was so fun seeing her amazing store. She’d had stores in NYC  and LA and other places too. 

What a success just amazing and friendly to All her special customers.
