The beautiful bowl from Morocco. I just have to go to Morocco..isn't this bowl just beautiful?
And it's huge!

Peony's, my garden

Stained Glass, Jim Wittstruck, shells from Gulf Coast..

Bier Horn, Finland
Tablecloth, Goodwill..

My collections include buttons, not just these in jars, but I have a case of them, and a display case as well.
These others jars are called , A Walk down so and so Beach,
Here I have; a walk down the Sea Of Japan, Half Moon Bay, Gulf Of Mexico, Rialto Beach, Ruby Beach, 1 St Beach, etc etc.
I have half a purple spaceman from the sea of Japan mixed with it's black sand and some sea shells...I love the space man, a real find. Halfmoon Bay has a Mattel car in it.
Kim gave that to me when I visited her in San Francisco, eons back.
I'm the one who insisted she go interview for that job in SF. I remember she didn't want to move again, but now, she has a great career here in Washington, and lives one town away.

The B&W bowl was made by my friend Martha, (Minnesota) and the plate is Mexican Folk art.
The other two are shells. I do have a small rare shell collection.

A Mexican doll, and a couch from Goodwill for her to sit upon..

Gold Lotus Pods in a beautiful Japanese bowl from Yumiko.

This folklore Angel is by an American artist, I'd have to look up his name, well, it's on her boot I think.
I just love it.. Dorothy gave this to me.
See her cowboy boots? She has a stringer of fish.

Mt Baker,Snow Geese, Daffodil Fields

I live in an extraordinary place, where I am surrounded with beauty so breathtaking, that I seem unable to bear it at times, aware, I guess they might say in Japan. ( The feeling)
Every direction I  look, or take is beautiful, has diversity, and so much to offer, and I can't get around to it all, and won't be able to take it all in in this one lifetime alone.

Each season is cloaked in such beauty I cannot explain my feelings, or contain my desire to be present everywhere at once ......almost, mountains beckon, and each season is a new adventure.
Winter is for snow, skiing, snowshoeing.
Summer, primarily July/August is good for hiking mountains previously under snow, like Chain Lakes at Mt Baker, and a million other hikes I will never get around to in a lifetime of forevers.

Fall is good for visits to the ocean, camping at Rialto, Oregon Beaches..
Spring , flowers bloom in profusion everywhere.
Seattle is 30 minutes form me, Canada is about 1.5 hours away, and The Ocean is a few hours, The Sound  is a block away, Whidbey Island can be seen from my window.

Tulip and Daffodil fields north about 45 minutes each spring...
I feel I am soaked in beauty .. even the fog is a delight in winter time, and I love the cool drizzle all year round.
Islands, Whales, bear, deer, elk........

How will I ever leave here to go elsewhere, Morocco, France, Italy, etc.?
 I may never leave paradise...
there is no place like Home.

Winthrop/Twisp in December

Imagine this under snow... (see below) it's Pearrygin park here..
I came up to Twisp for an art workshop, and then drove over here to Winthrop.
This is snow country. It's a valley ( The Methow Valley) in NE Washington, and it's cold, dry, crisp, and white. The snow this morning is new, about 4 inches maybe. It's new snow, I can't go home now! I'd have to leave after Breakfast to go over the pass around noon, and I haven't yet enjoyed the snow, and new snow at that.
remember, I am a snow bunny from PA.

If I stay here, I can either rent skis and ski, or snow shoe, I brought mine, Sking would be great because it's so soft and new. I can leave my mark in the snows of time.

Life is short as they say, and I have never been one to sacrifice it to mundane existence. (except in spells, I'm idealistic, will it pay off? It already has!)

My room looks like this, (at a B&B) has a fireplace..

I opened my windows last last an let the cold in, crawled under my down comforter, and slept for 4.5 hours before awakening to close windows, and light the fireplace on. It's dry in this room, it needs moisture. So I'll draw a bath soon, and soak, a coolish bath, I like cool. I'm happy, I'l have a nice breakfast, and bet I'll stay another day, and snow shoe.
I watched a movie last night in my room, and have a few more, Frankie and Johnny is playing now. For some reason the fireplace isn't firing, but I don't care, The snow outside warms me in a way I can't explain, it takes me to my roots in a small town near Pittsburgh where I lived close to all my family, it was a snugly womb. I have always missed it. Only one person understands, my cousin Karen who is stuck in Florida, who remembers it as I do, wombish, and wonderful. I miss her now, and wish she were here to play in the snow with me. We'd build a snowman for sure.

If I won the lottery, I'd just buy this room for the winter, and stay here. I'd check out all possibilities for art here. it is an art community. Summer here would be hot for me, I'd have to escape to the drizzle again, to the peninsula and Rialto, but it would be purrfect for firing my work in a primitive fire.

I still have to buy presents and ship stuff, it will have to wait until I get back, but I can order a few gifts online, my favorite way to shop.
Umm, I will make almond roca for presents, too., and maybe peanut butter fudge, afterall, it's holidays, everyone wants a little sugar.

It's nice being alone, I like being with myself, I'm entertaining, lol, and unencumbered by anyone who has an agenda, or plans to have their way. In other words, I am not stifled. If any young women read this , a word to the wise...keep your power, your interests, don't let hormones dictate you are them, you aren't your hormones, you're so much more, ...

Umm, too bad skis aren't by my front door.
Pearrygin park under snow

Well, it's 6 Am, and breakfast is between 8 and whatever. Umm friends, I wish you were here to enjoy the snow, I smile thinking of you here partaking with me, but then I'd have to compromise a little and wouldn't be completely able to indulge myself.
I should get some work done, but hey, there's snow, what can I say?
It's perfect crissmiss weather.
Stay tuned, maybe I'll make it back home, oneday....

coffees ready....

Nimbostratusland

Thursday left for Railto Beach.. stayed first night in Forks at Forks Motel (85.00... nuts!)
Got up as usual crack of noon, and went for breakfast, looked at a motel for sale in town, hmm?
IF I were stuck at Forks..would YOU come visit me..stay in my motel?

The ocean is spectacular here...nothing short of that.. visitors stop me as I pack my gear down the beach asking me about where I hike to, there is an over 30 miles stretch of beach to hike. The response is always the same to Rialto and washington beaches, " I have never seen anything so amazing in my life!"

3 years ago we observed pelicans at the beach for the first time, (of my 14 going to Railto) but hadn't been in a few years. They seem to be growing in population, they look primitive , like teraydactlys, are amazing to watch fish, as they dive into water folding their wings just as they hit the water. Smaller birds follow them to get fed.

At one point yesterday morning I felt like life had promise, and with major war waging I rarely feel that.
It was the site of birds filling the sky, made me feel we still have natural resources that are indeed healthy, and abundant, it gives me shivers to watch this natrual life force living.
Lets protect it!!

...click on pictures to enlarge, and search my blog for more photos of Rialto and Shi Shi and other beaches...

This trip, first time camped right on beach, not back in woods, it was a nice change, we also had areas of shade to rest in, the stars were beautiful, and put me to sleep watching them.

I admit going into Three Rivers Resort {Quillayute River; Quillayute river system] - the Hoh, Sol Duc, Bogachiel and Calawah}
to get a shower and a milkshake.. lol I like to rough it, but hey, a few miles down the beach I have my car to tempt me into cheating..
