Everybody knows..
I love Apple..
I should go to work for them. I have ideas they haven't thought of yet, improvements they could make, and I can't say enough good about what they do already.
This is my new macbook, I bought the white one, and got mine before the new OS came out in October, so this one comes with the new OS. You get iphoto, the webs best way to organize your photos, and you can make web pages too, easily. You can share that with family, they can add photos and take photos off the site. It can be private or public.
Of course you get i tunes, but if you have a PC you can download itunes too for tunes and movies, and books. This book is complete with built in camcorder and mic, so you can call your friends and see them for free. It should be the official computer of the social world!
This computer isn't just about work, it's mostly about interaction, and entertainment, but serves business needs too.
I take it with me out of town, drop into a coffee shop, get my mail, connect with friends, have my music, photos, etc along. And at Starbucks you can download music they play at the store..I haven't done that yet. The starbucks I have been to in Edmonds is not online with wifi.
Hey, I wonder if Apple has a day of the week where they offer discounts to people over 50?
I asked yesterday at a Starbucks in a mall where Tuesday was seniors day, Starbucks doesn't, but should start, and apple really should too.
Anyway, I tell everybody about my macbook, and sooner or later, somebody I knew is gonna buy one, My Grandson is saving his money for one already. He likes garage band, and of course itunes..If all my friends had macbook, we could conference call, and three of us be on cam and mic together, or groups on together. Like I have a party each year with a few online group, and if any of them had macbook, we could watch each other open presents, etc.
I have a friend in The Netherlands and one in Italy I'm hoping to connect with, a a friend at Rutgers University I talk to sometimes. I also haver great ideas about how this could connect people in groups. Of course you can use a PC and a cam too, but apple is so user friendly, intuitive, and of course we are the intuitive age. PC's much you down with virus protection software, etc. And with a mac, you can also have a PC (with virtual PC) but no PC gives you apple.
I guess apple is making it's way into the heart of youth today, my Grandson was a PC kid, but he has been switching over to mac. His Dad, too, both musicians. The ipod has created attention, I think, for intutive products.
So, yeah, maybe I need to get a job at Apple computer.
You could say this macbook is my best friend, mostly cause it connects me easily, anywhere, wirelessly,to all my best friends.. 'Mollycoddle says', go ahead, spoil yourself, buy macbook...

Led Zepplin,others added to itunes..
Wow, Zepplin, and just in time for Christmas.. nice to have them on itunes now. Look you can get this complete Led Zeppelin remastered set is available to download for $99.99
It's a 165-track digital box set of the group's 13 legendary albums. You can't go wrong with a gift like this!
I'll be giving itunes gift cards for Christmas again, it's always a hit with my family. My kids love love shopping for music.
It's amazingly entertaining to sit down at my computer in itunes for an evening or for 5 minutes to get a new song, or a list of songs to burn on a Cd or upload to your ipod.
I do a Christmas CD every year, but haven't started it yet. It's nice to have special Christmas music in the car or especially for Christmas dinner.
My last years CD had some nice piano, and celtic music. I will add that list when I am on my desktop. I still have not synched my two computers. lol
Link to Zepplin...

Here is the link for the gift certificates, remember come Dec 24th, still no gift for some last minute person,, I always count on itunes! Send straight to their email address the night before Christmas:

I have Christmas cards to make, and I am planning on making a few Christmas Skirts, in red, for lounging Mrs Santa's. Worn with cozy loose fitting tan and red wool socks, ahh, put my feet up by the fire and get toasty warm while watching a movie from itunes too. I love making holidays into relaxed lazy days with family or alone by the fire..munchin' on brownies, and sippin' eggnog. Last night I watched the movie The Tibetan Book of the Dead, and got a surprise phone call, too, good news...
Here is a link to Ratatouille

I could just curl up with my Grandson Jeremy and watch this if I were in Austin, but since I'm not, I can send it as a gift to my daughter so she can curl up with him, and the kids at home.
This link is nice to get last years music favs..

Art: Japan envisions The West, Seattle Art Museum
Just got some info on the Sam's latest show from a friend who shares my enthusiasm for art. ( and who knows how much I love Japanese art).
I'm getting that strolling through the exhibit feeling already, chatting with my friend and sipping coffee, remembering the great coffee I had while in Japan. They don't mess around with bad coffee in Japan, you buy a cup, it's in a china cup, stirred with a silver spoon..so delicious, and expensive, and leaving a sense of savoring and wanting more.
I'll never forget my first time in a book store in Japan, I've written about it before, the only blonde in a city of dark heads, and I went straight to the art book section ( how I will never know, since I didn't read a word of Japanese) I picked up a book with erotic art, (called ukiyoe, wood block prints )and the image I opened to burned itself on my brain forever, embarrassed, I snapped the book shut feeling all the people in the shop must have known what I was looking at, even though their eyes were cast downward. ( and yes, I got the book later as a gift)..I guess if I could go back in time, I'd go back to that time in Japan, it was a wonderful experience..instead I'll go to the SAM. Maybe one day I'll write about Japan in my own book...but don't hold your breathe, if you're curious about the stories, though, let me know.
When I was in Japan I had a french pastry and a coffee everyday. I could never forget the beauty of Japan, and the way everyone there treated me so well.. we were equally curious about each other.
Do you like good coffee as much as I do? I love this brand, and you can get it on a monthly plan, did you know? It's Italian. Not certain what the Japanese use, but it wouldn't surprise me if it was this brand.
Remember though, china cup. ( I love Russian china patterns best) I have Lomonosov swirl cups and saucers and a few other patterns.. Swirl is incredible. I have the chicken coffee pot with the small pot on top, ever seen that? I'll post a photo tomorrow, but here is the link for Illy Coffee now, check out their collection s of cups, too by artists Michael Lin has a nice kind of Japanesey looking set, you could collect them all..(I try)
This intro offer is pretty hard to beat. (only 26.00) and believe me Gevalia doesn't begin to compare..in my opinion.
Enjoy the world's finest Italian coffee. Receive a free gift with every coffee machine purchase. Shop illy online.
This intro deal is waaaaay too good to pass up if you love espresso.. and would like a new espresso maker, I mean the real deal at a steal! I've been an espresso lover for years, before I moved to Seattle even! (where coffee reigns!). They have the Italian Moka pot, too, that's all you really need, but if you have your heart set on a real cool espresso machine, check that link out completely..

Ducks in Snow waddle waddle quack quack

Here is the photo I promised from yesterday's drive in the snow in the country.
Along side the river road here came the ducks marching waddle waddle, quack.. adorable, I mean, this is cute!
I backed up to get another shot, but my camera is slow between frames, and I guess they arrived home cause at a drive, they turned one by one and disappeared by the fence waddling into the driveway..1.2.3.4 gone...
remember hearthsong has the best stuff for kids..

Daisy grew up with Hearth song entertainment, and gifts. My personal stamp of approval..!
My crooked little Crissmiss tree:

Daisy and Karen, this Thanksgiving in Snohomish:

Daisy is on left...

nice price... 19.00 deal!
I happen to have this tea set, and I love it, I had to look forever to find it ( I mean I looked 3 years) has seen it at an artists studio at Port Angeles back then. anyway, here is is.

Yeah, I'm getting my Christmas Shopping done online as usual! Ahh ..black Friday wouldn't be complete without me and my macbook, and a cup of tea with my feet up, and The Puddha purrin' nearby!
Oh by the way, I made it snow today,,!I wanted to get my tree, and I wanted it to snow when I shopped for a tree, soooo..anyway, I saw the cutest thing, I'll post a pic tomorrow, it was 4 ducks walking in the snow in the country, quack quack, absolutely to die for experience! I wish I had taken a video!
Maybe I'll go back..
Simple nice petite teapot. Great gift price! {19.00}
I love the Earl Grey. Hint hint! {Oh but hojicha is what my Japanese boyfriend always sent me.. it's roasted green tea, and it is soo good}!

Ok, this is like the one used in the Japan home where I stayed I guess.
They have a special internet price, and there is some tax credit for using it, 300.00 I think.
Anyway, check it out, it's a pretty good price and better idea than a regular hot water heater.
The Takagi TK2 Tankless Water Heater. Special Offer: TK2 + Bracket + Remote + ... Click here
They have other models and products too. I saw one for an outside tub, umm umm, a hot tub in the cold of winter. Do you know how nice that is? I used to go to a friends here in Washington, and we sat in a jacuzzi in the snow, ahh, what a great time that was..throwing snowballs at each other..sipping hot drinks..imagine that....back when I had a life!!!
Just one Paloma PH24M supplies all the hot water you need in your home for shower, bath, dishwasher, laundry, etc. Click here
Oh darn , that still isn't the one I was trying for, search that site for the Takagi T-K Jr $629.00 (with 300.00 tax credit) Maybe I can find it later, I'm tired now, bet you can find it..I was trying to get a picture of it, but the information is better, click on type for the link..the outdoor one is the Takagi T-K3-OS, (Outdoor Gas Tankless Water Heater) it is over 800.00 but also qualifies for the 300.00 tax credit.
You can't go wrong.
The Japanese have the best set ups, believe me!
Nite nite...
Looking around for information on solar heating , and here I found this. They use something like this in Japan. Ahh, the Japanese bath, umm, wow, what a pleasurable experience to soak in a deep tub every night .
When I was in Japan I showered twice a day, and soaked at night. Of course the bath tub is NOT in the same room as the toilet is..( we Americans can be sorta unsophisticated)
You never wash in the tub either. It is filled once a day for everyone to take turns soaking in, and is easy to heat up.
The bath is deep and not very long, but two can sit in it, It goes up to your neck.
I promise, it is the only way to bathe. So this solar unit is similar to what they used in Japan.
By the way, the toilet in Japan is called the toto, and you slip out of house slippers into toto vinyl slippers to go in the toto. It is down the hall from the bathroom/shower. My bathroom is a separate room from the toto, too. American builders need to get a clue.
Solar, too, all builders need to install solar units.

Visa buxx for my Grandkids?
I don't think they read my blog...too busy with socializing. I wonder if I'll get the 'call', or if they wil just be happy with whatever I send?
My Grandson John is a musician, plays guitar, he likes itunes gift certificates and things like ipods, amplifiers, etc.
He usually is saving money for something, like I helped him buy his first guitar, and got him his Marshall amps, helped out with his ipod. He wants a macbook, but just got a car!
Hmm?
My Granddaughter Karen wants everything she sees. So visa buxx would be good for her.
Jeremy is a cook, I send him stuff to make cooking fun. He had fun with my ipod when I visited last time this summer.
So here is that info on visa buxx:
.... an idea for teaching your teen to deal with money, making it easy for you as well.
Teach your teen how to manage money with a prepaid card now. Try the PAYjr Visa Buxx Card.
I think this might be the ticket for my Grandkids for Christmas, at least the teen ones.
Has anyone used this ? Seems like it might be a good idea!
Kids design their own cards, and keep track of chores to accrue money ( allowances) etc. Pretty cool ..
PAYjr has been featured on the Today Show, the CBS Early Morning Show, ABC World News, and in the Wallstreet Journal and Parenting Magazine.

Christmas Gift Ideas, slippers, shoes, sale
This one I like! It's called a spring step bunny...and it's 20.00 off, and free shipping.
Of course, I wear a 7 or 7.5... darn.. It's my daughter's size tho! ( they always get your shoes and boots, even after they leave home!)

I ordered halflinger slippers today from a site and got a nice discount. ( hope no one getting this gift reads this post).
I love boiled wool products. I have a had several pairs of both indoor and outdoor boiled wool shoes, slippers, etc.
I'm wearing some right now, my halflinger slippers. Daisy was just here and she wore them anytime she was in the house. Mike loves them, too. They have a nice support in the arch, are toasty, and make your feet feel at home.
I also have boiled wool swedish boots with an incredible rubber sole that is the best on snow and ice, red boots..very cool.
I bought them years ago in Leavenworth, and don't know where you get them now, cause the store closed. I'll post a few pictures of my boiled wool stuff.
Anyway, that shoe company is:

Solar stuff.....हेअल्ति वाटर healthy water
As I said before, I find the best products on Gaiam, solar everythng for the home, it is just an amazing catalogue. I just ordered a shower head that filters chlorine out of the water, and adds oxygen (x10) so the shower makes your hair feel soft and is good for your skin. I am, like you probablly are, allergic to chlorine, and did you know you take more into your body showering than drinking?
Yeah, it's horrific. You breathe it, and the body isn't designed for chlorine.
My body resists drinking water, even filtered water, ( because it has no nutrients then), and so using a water filter that you can control the PH is best for you.
Now Gaiam doesn't have those, but I'm researching where I will get mine and will post all that later on. Meanwhile I am drinking water that I add drops to ,and it has made a huge difference..my body is saying YES! To this alkaline water, and I am drinking a ton of water with out trying. It really is as if my body is saying,' yes yes yes.. It's about time you gave me what I need'!
It's amazing, I don't feel water logged at all, it goes into my system so fast, 50% faster than other water ( even carbonated ) like Perrier that I woud drink.
You see coffee, and tea are not hydrating, coke sure isn't, sports drinks are, and I could rink a gallon at a time, BUT they are full of sugar!
So you're left with forcing water, chlorinated, which is very bad for your body, or filtered, that has no other nutrients. Alkalinized water is high in anti oxidants, for one..and it filters out thousands of bad stuff in your water, And I guess a side effect of these filters is that they have a dial to change the ph from Acid ph ( better for your skin) to alkaline ( better to drink. So you get both advantages.
You can spray your body with acid ph water after a shower ( preferably, a filtered shower, because the acid ph will make your body feel better, and helps with acne too.
These filters aren't expensive either, and taking a shower becomes a nice refreshing experience.
I tell you, in Japan a large percentage of home has these filters for drinking and showering.
They even have a bath ball that takes the chlorine out of your water.
I may get shower filters for my daughter's new home for Christmas, and a portable water filter for them to try, because Lord knows, they drink the pop, those kids do. I understand now, why. I mean, you gotta drink something, but when it's all bad for you, you go for the one that is addictive ( the pops full of sugar)
I ordered some of the foot pads ( scroll down my page) and when I get them I'll let you know how they work. They are supposed to remove toxins at night as you sleep. One woman said her brown age spots disappeared. Ok, that was all the incentive I needed. ( other people report arthritic symptoms reduced using them and drinking alkalinized water.
I think this water is one of the best things you can do for your body, but an alkaline diet, too is very good, and weight loss is phenomenal on alkaline water, and an alkaline diet of juicing, and eating alkaline foods, likek cabbage, califlower, and broccoli.
I like cabbage steamed with onions, I can eat a whole head my self.
So, soon I'll have my videos on this stuff and more products to try. I had to do something I was becoming more and more dehydrated. My tongue was burning, and my lips, too, and my tongue was craced and swollen, coated, it looks so much better now.

So, hope this helps somebody..
