Holiday Music Time (iTunes is Free you know)
I'm a little puzzled that so many PC'ers haven't downloaded iTunes yet..??
I was at a friends last week who didn't have iTunes or a good photo program on his computer, so I downloaded iTunes for him on his laptop, and got him the google free photo program , Picasa, and immediatly he had his photos in order, and had access to podcasts (like Coffee break Spanish, 15 minutes of Spanish (Spain style, per day) . Both are totally free, and also iTunes University, (free lectures from universities all over the country on every topic you can think of.
AND.. you can buy music for 99 cents per song. The itunes library organizes your music and you can make albums to burn, or upload on your ipod.
Seriously everyone, Itunes is a must have these days. It takes 5 minutes to download, and it's fREE.
One of my favorite gifts to give is a gift certificate to Itunes for Christmas, birthdays, my family, (Grandkids and kids, and friends) iTunes Gift card online, and it is a last minute gift that gets there just in time..online..Oh, and of course, you can get movies, too and baseball series, your favorite TV shows, etc.
It's truly amazing what they offer.

I know all my friends say I should be selling MacIntosh, yeah I love Apple Computer.
Here's a link for Christmas Music: Get started now, have one done for Christmas season, and make a special one for Christmas Dinner.
Have fun, click the link below.

PTSD EMotional Healing Modality
I found this on VEOH.com, new site to me. I like it, I had been using new healing modalities, similiar to Reiki, and finding there are many other modalities people can use in between Reiki sessions, etc.
Tat.com is another instant healing release. Sounds good, but I wonder about long term stress or trauma and instant release.
EFT is one i have been be found on a podcast. If interested get in touch with me.
Oh I Have some news about water, too that is very interesting, bascially now that I think of it, a no brainer.
So my next post will be about water, and chorine and how bad it is for youir skin, drinking and how you absorb more showering than drinking, but it is infinitaly more involved than what I've said here, and I can testify that bottled water is not the answer, simply de-chlorinating is not the answer..I'm busy now but I'll get back to my post soon.
Have a great week..

Latte Today,,have a heart..

I almost sipped the heart out before I noticed I had a heart in my latte today.
Must be a sign? lol
Well, it made me smile,, anyway.
what a sweet surprise.
A day without a latte is like a day without drizzle ( yeah a Pacific NW thing)!
It's a great treat sipping a foaming latte in my pj's.
Eat your heart out Starbucks!
Now when They deliver, (or encourage customers to come dresssed in jammas and their bolied wool slippers, and disheveled hair), that recently ravished look, totting a notebook to 'surf up' during a fogstorm, I'll be first in line.
Meanwhile it's me and my espresso maker and fresh ground coffee lazily laxin at hOMe. yawn!!
Life doesn't get any better than this..
Oh By The Way..
I buy my Ipod accessories from this company ( life is pretty good with Ipod, too). I got my car charger and home charger, and several other adapters) from Griffin.
Take a look, afterall, it's just around the corner..Crissmiss is!
Ipod accessories are purrrfect for stocking stuffers, etc. The Puddha says so..I just bought a small adapter to make my Ipod play in my car on a radio station.. Verry Cool!
Oh my daughter got her new home today. I tried to call and congratulate them, but no answer.
So, I'll be making my reservations soon , I hope my MIL is ready, (Mother in Law apt.)
BTW, Sarah, had a baby girl, for all you followers of babies and etc. or for those of you who know Sarah, Mike's daughter.
A baby girl, I just call her baby still.
Sarah said I could post a picture of her painted baby belly, but I wasn't sure it was ok, for absolute sure, but it is sure a great photo.
Oh BTW, I found the 'baby' a gift in Laconner last week, I am so excited, it's a perfect baby girl gift to keep for generations and as an heirloom to be passed on down in the family.
I love it. I hope baby will too, and Mom and Dad and Aden.
Sarah, if you read this, I hope you're curious..I'm sending a gift for Aden too, so he won't feel left out.
Will you take a photo and send it to me when you get it, so I can post it?
And let me know about posting the baby's photo, or Aden's, ok?
Love his punkin fight photo!
Oh I bet it's ok to post this one..sweet..

Cheers, I lift my latte cup to all young mothers.
Been there, done that, got the gray hair...Yeah, I'd do it all
over again, too!
Don't know what ya got til its gone.
Speaking of gone, my latte is needing a refill.

a good pie is worth it's weight in gold

you know a good pie is worth it's weight in gold.
I have my pie crust mix on my side bar, and it's a winner. Mix it up, put it in a large ice cream bucket, and when you're ready to make pies , it's ready for you, and makes a good crust everytime. Just add ice water, (secret ingredient of pie crust)
My chocolate pie is the best in the world, and an old friend gave it to me a great cook, Billye Currid.
Add mint flavoring instead of vanilla for a great pie, too.
And one of my favorite pies is german chocolate pie with coconut. Umm German chocolate cake is delicious too, home made..
4 ounces German chocolate
1/4 cup butter
1 1/2 cup sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 tablespoons cornstarch
2 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 cup evaporated milk
1 unbaked 10-inch pie crust
1 1/3 cup shredded coconut
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1. Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees.
2. In microwave, melt chocolate and butter on a low setting in a medium-size microwave-safe bowl. Stir several times during melting process to prevent burning.
3. When chocolate is melted, stir in sugar, salt, vanilla, cornstarch and eggs until well blended. Stir in evaporated milk until smooth. Pour into pie shell.
4. Mix coconut and pecans together; sprinkle evenly over chocolate mixture. Use a knife to cut through coconut into chocolate mixture in several places. Bake 45 to 50 minutes or until center is set.
The pie center puffs slightly and the top begins to crack when it is done. If the crust becomes too brown, place a piece of foil over the top of the entire pie for the final 15 minutes of baking. A dollup of whipped cream can be added if desired.
Humming benefits
"In a study reported in the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine (2002; 166: 144-145),researchers at the Karolinska Hospital in Stockholm, Sweden found that nitric oxide levels in the sinuses were 15 times higher during humming than during normal, quiet exhalations. Nitric oxide (NO) helps to dilate the capillary beds and increase blood flow. Humming had the effect of dramatically increasing the gas exchange in the nasal sinuses. If fact, during normal exhalation the gas exchange between the nasal passages and the sinuses was about 4 percent. When the volunteers (all "healthy") hummed, the gas increase increased to about 98 percent.
Humming also holds in more oxygen as you exhale making each breath more efficient in terms of blood oxygenation. It helps extend the exhale which often slows the breathing down allowing for more oxygen to be extracted from the air we breathe thus decreasing the oxygen cost of breathing.
You may have noticed that people who often hum seem relaxed and at peace.
Humming also helps the sinus cavities. "
Humming could help Stress ad anxiety.. The cure all?

Sacked out in Laconner wifiing and watchin TV, and chillaxin..
Umm, I'm sacked out in LaConner at a nice hotel..had a nice shower, ( passed on the jaz room) after a Pilsner and a pizza with chicken and feta, peppers..umm um.. Maybe a facial at a spa tomorow, or maybe later this week, a day at the spa.
Good weekend, went to downtown Seattle to the market (famous Pike Place)..and I went to a Course in Miracles Group that was a really very spiritual lift..
So I saw Ella again..took her to brunch at Cec and Simon's.
Ella is 94 years old..And I just love her.
So, tomorrow I'l shop Laconner a little, and that meansa walk along the river that flows into the Sound.
Ahh I should have brought my bike..I love riding up here.
This is where I come to see the tulips in spring, and pick balck berries in summer. ( but this is the first summer in many years I didn't pick berries here)
Oh, look... I found this, it's probably perfect for a Koi pond without having wiring for a pump. I have a natural spring in the backyard, if this works, I'll have to start digging ASAP..My Koi are waiting, and three kids want me to have a Koi pond anyway..

Oh I found these at Gaiam, I am really interested, sounds really comfy for feet, wish I had them now..they don't call me Mollycoddle for nuthin!
I love the products Gaiam sells, amazing..natural sheets, bedding, a very cool spining composter..it's my favorite catalogue.

Holiday Shopping, catalogues to order, A fall hike, moon shine..

Dungeness River, Olympic Peninsula this past weekend. More photos below..
As far as Christmas Shopping, get catalogues and start early, shop casually, let them do the shipping, avoid post office lines, and enjoy your holidays.
I have shopped from home for EVER!
Is there another way? Fighting crowds in last minute crowds..getting malled? Not my style!
I leisurely browse catalogues, and ear mark pages, and I've made my own books of wanted items for others too, just to make their job easier...
(then order online for deliveries that are not any of my concern, long as they make it..and they do..)

So this weekend I went hiking by Royal Basin and Dungeness river.. it was late in the day, got lost.. those roads are very snakey over there, and high up, too.
Oh incidentally, the moon was fantastic, amazing really..Taurus moon, or Hunters moon, it bathed Hood canal in light, and Puget Sound..even last night the moon , no longer completley full was one of the largest moons i have ever seen.. No photos tho.. I watched it too from Port Gamble, a small town across Hood Canal.

I ordered my new tires last week, I'll tell you about that when I get them on and broken in.
